Free clip art question

Once I started posting more articles, and linking them back to my websites and blogs, I decided to try and make the landing pages more attractive, by adding images. This started out as being a complete mystery to me, but with time I’m getting better!

As the idea of blogging was to make an online income, rather than spend mega-bucks, I wanted to find the best free clip art I could.

In the end it seemed that I was spending more time hunting down good free clip-art than I was spending writing my articles! I had done the obligatory “Google free clip art” search, several times, but there always seems to be a catch, when all I really wanted was hassle free clip art, or, of course, attractive and classy photographs to use online.

Then I remembered a site that had been recommended to me when I did an Internet Marketing coaching course. It was the Dreamstime.com site.  I hunted out my notes and hot-footed over to the site. It was jam-packed with clipart, some really superb photographs, and best of all there were thousands of good quality free images to download. Just make sure you are on the correct “free” tab.

To give you an idea of the scale of their operation, there are almost 8,000,000 images online,  (as many as 400,000 new per month) with 2,000,000+ registered members, and over 86,000 contributing photographers!  Over the months I have returned to the site frequently, and have found it extremely useful and user-friendly.

Most important of all, I can almost always find exactly what I want on the site. Often I get inspiration for something I’d never have thought of!

As well as the free images, there are some you can buy, and these are shown – clearly marked as for sale – but it’s very rare that I need to resort to spending money. OK, I have bought a few images, but in the main that’s been when there have been free images on offer, but one of the “paid for” images has really caught my eye. But don’t let the idea of paying put you off, you don’t need to find a king’s ransom – images are available in different sizes and can cost as little as $0.20 each.

There’s a great “search” facility too.  To give it a try in the box below, just enter a keyword for one of your articles or personal interests. I guarantee you’ll be amazed!
