Review of SubmitYourArticle.com
Why did I stop using SubmitYourArticle.com?
Read the sales promotion pages for SubmitYourArticle.com and you’ll probably imagine it’s the best thing since sliced bread. It was recommended to me by Neil Stafford – of InternetMarketingReview.com, and Neil is someone whose opinion I have respected for a long time. His actual words were: “SubmitYOURArticle.com is the Rolls Royce of article distribution services.”
Hopefully as a reader of this site you won’t need convincing of the value of article marketing for generating online traffic. However, if you submit to just a handful of sites, results may be slower than you’d hoped for – and if you “up the ante” and start multiple submissions you’ll soon find that there are so many article directories that you could be forever and a day. SubmitYourArticle.com will submit your article to:
- hundreds of websites, and thousands of potential publishers, your articles will be sent directly to websites, blogs, ezines, article announcement lists and others.
- SubmitYourArticle.com’s own high-traffic article directory – submission to this directory is exclusively available to users of their service
You will save hundreds of hours per article using the automatic submission service, and no need to worry about maintaining lists of current publishers, and finding new ones that appear – all that is handled for you.
Before you’ve been publishing articles for very long, you’ll become aware of one of the major worries of those who submit the same article to more than one site, and that is “Google’s duplicate content penalty”. You may or not believe in this, and I’m not expert enough to give a definitive ruling, but the possibility of it being “fact” is of enough concern to do something about it. SubmitYourArticle.com includes an excellent article spinning service that lets you get the maximum leverage from each article, by preparing multiple versions that are submitted to different publishers. It’s not compulsory to do this, but for an extra half an hour’s work, you’d be silly not to take advantage of this service.
Another useful service is Article Trickle and scheduling. You can specify how quickly or slowly your articles are submitted – giving a more natural feel to the submission pattern – and you can choose when you would like to submit them. So whether you just prefer to do all your article writing in a concentrated burst, or if you’re going on holiday for a couple of weeks, no problem – just schedule the submissions to start at a convenient time, then “set and forget”.
EasyPublish™ is a technology that allows you, and those looking to use your articles as website content, to easily publish your articles in several convenient forms. You will also be given a link to use for all your articles so that interested readers can find more to read and publish.
The support service deserves an honourable mention. Fast and helpful responses are the norm. There’s also a helpful blog and a great supply of article marketing training resources.
What are the downsides – and why did I stop using SubmitYourArticle.com?
A slight inconvenience for me was that, because I write in very different niches, my articles in one niche looked very odd when juxta-posed with completely separate niches. I would have liked to use a pen-name.
I guess the main downside really was the monthly cost. At the time of writing this is $47 per month (although set to rise, so you may like to lock in the current price while it lasts). This may seem a lot of money – or it may not, depending on the pricing of the service or product you are promoting. But if you submit 8 article per month (that’s just 2 per week) your cost per article falls below $6 per article. Given the amount of traffic a single article can generate, that’s actually a very small price to pay. Amazingly enough, the service now allows submission of an unlimited number of articles per month. At the time I was a subscriber, it was 8 per month.
My downfall, and the reason I stopped using the service, was that I soon fell behind that seemingly modest target of 8 articles per month – mainly because Internet Marketing is NOT a full-time occupation for me.
I would very much have liked there to be different choice of how to pay for the service:
- A “light-user” option
- A price per article option – say $10 per article
- A lifetime membership, as I dislike monthly payments and tend to cancel them pretty quickly
So unfortunately, despite the quality of the service provided, I did not remain a subscriber. This is a source of regret to me, and perhaps one day I’ll have a concerted effort to gather together a batch of article and “go for it” again.
My departure certainly wasn’t because of poor or inadequate service, as SubmitYouArticle.com is one of the best article submission services I have come across. Click the banner below to learn more.
